we're pleased to announce significant progress in our long-term project at IPES, focused on digital production of plastic cards. This initiative utilizes solely Konica Minolta and MGI devices, reflecting our commitment to innovation and quality.

Some of you may recall we previously announced our plastic card production efforts at IPES, having tested PVC materials from a Chinese supplier, which passed the delamination test at Fogra Institute in Germany, earning ISO certification.
However good this solution was from technical point of view, our objective was to go further and find local alternatives for the substrate. Why? Due to increasing logistics costs and possible supply chain issues connected with sourcing substrates from China, which may have negative impact on smaller orders for European customers. Thus we initiated collaboration with Klöckner Pentaplast, a well-regarded European plastic foil producer and they created PVC materials compatible with the AccurioJet KM1e's ink. After producing cards with various coverage combinations, we conducted another delamination test with Fogra, confirming ISO compliance of this solution for plastic card production.
Plastic cards are usually made from PVC and are printed with offset printing techniques. We utilize our UV Inkjet digital printing machine, AccurioJet KM-1e HD, ensuring consistent quality throughout the production process, which is entirely performed in-house. Each card is coated with a high-quality protective laminate that preserves its vibrant colors and adds a premium feel, making it stand out in the market.
To enhance visual appeal, we use MGI JetVarnish technology for spot varnish and metallic foil embellishment, with lamination handled by MGI PressCardPro. Our finishing process incorporates the PunchCardPro automatic punching machine. Each card follows the ISO 7810, CR-80 standard, measuring 86 x 54 millimeters, 0.76 mm thick, with rounded edges, serving various personal and professional uses beyond just credit cards.
