Dear colleagues,
before we know it, February is already behind us. A few weeks ago, we sent you 2025 gift calendars, and we hope you've had a chance to check them out and share them with your valued customers. Given the very positive feedback we've received, we believe this effort was well worth it.
Read on to discover what gift our customers received and how we can use it to showcase the best of our technologies every day of the year.
Three years ago we started to design and produce gift calendars in B2/B3 format. This year was no exception, and 1200 calendars were made at IPES and distributed to customers throughout whole Europe. We are receiving positive feedback on the calendars and interest in this form of gift for the following years. Thanks to the unique combination of printing and finishing, such calendar can be a nice gift and decoration of our customer's premises to remind them of Konica Minolta all year around. But there is so much more we can achieve with this gift. We are looking at a valuable sales tool that can open the door to the customer. We can demonstrate the unique quality and advantage of our digital technologies, create a “wow” effect, something that would be technically impossible or financially demanding to make with conventional technology. To support our showroom activities, we have also distributed the calendars among local showrooms so that a demonstration of B2 application can be provided where our “flagship” devices are not installed.
As already mentioned, the graphic design of our new calendar was completely designed by the IPES team so that, in addition to the recognized printing quality, we could also show the amazing possibilities and accuracy of digital spot varnish technology, which allows for varnishing and foiling with incredible precision and details.
Each calendar sheet is a demonstration of the printing quality of our KM-1e inkjet technology. Since inkjet technology prints without contact, we can print structured papers with perfect precision and breathtaking realism, which is impossible to achieve with an offset machine. In addition, thanks to UV curing, the sheets printed in this way are immediately ready for use even with thick embossed papers without the need for drying.
However, most sheets are additionally embellished with spot varnish and foils. Besides the “standard” surface varnishes that are common decoration of book and product packaging, we want to show that digital varnish can be truly “spot on” and with precise registration.
In addition to the standard method of hot stamping foil onto printed sheets, we also used the technique of overprinting already stamped foil for some designs, creating a distinctive metallic colour effect without need for actually using any metallic colour in the printing device.
Let`s seize the opportunity and use this unique and practical sales tool to demonstrate printing and embellishing capabilities of Konica Minolta and MGI devices. Here at IPES we`re always ready to assist you with converting
your qualified customer into successful business cases.
We are looking forward to your visit and orders!
